With the likes of Halo 4 and Black Ops 2 nearing, it is easy to overlook anything else that is still to be released this year. Square Enix are confident that Hitman Absolution will be the ‘last big game of the year’.
Square Enix has reportedly warned rivals not to underestimate the return of the popular series. Along with the running of the Hitman Sniper Challenge, Absolution will be promoted in trailers and ad campaigns in the coming month.
“We believe we are someone to fear this Xmas,” senior product manager Grant Tasker told MCV.
“We are the last big release of 2012, spending heavily on media with a first-rate product offering something unique and fresh to the stale market of sequels.”
From what we saw at rAge a few weeks ago, Hitman Absolution should be an absolute cracker.
