Rockstars’ Max Payne has recently been rumored to be on UK shelves by October. It is also rumored that it will be using the GTA4 – ‘Rage engine’. This is yet to be confirmed by Rockstar, but the rumors are doing the rounds
Gameinformer Magazine has revealed details about this action packed series. Max is now working for a security company in Sao Paulo and is addicted to pain killers. He is also bald and a little over-weight now
The big rumour around the game is that its calling card, ‘bullet time’, is more brutal than ever and therefore this will be a ‘mature rated’ game. Max will now be able to take cover behind walls and objects and they promise a more realistic atmosphere, including day/night changes.
Okay so a mature rated, action packed bad-ass character with issues in a game which may use a celebrated game engine….you have my attention.

Those who read the Game Informer news will be fully prepared for the new Max Payne look, but those who didn’t … brace yourselves.
The new Stone Cold Steve Austin look can be seen in the latest batch of screens from Rockstar and we’re not sure if we’re a fan. I suppose that’s what happens when you change what we’re used to and go against the norm. It’s like seeing Master Chief in his next outing wander out in a mini skirt with a sombrero on *shudders*
Is change a good thing? Well, we’ll find out this coming October.
