Are you looking for some gaming and geek action in the Eastern Cape? Then Con.ect is the event for you. Hitting Port Elizabeth on 2 and 3 September 2017, the event has found a new home at the Fairview Sports and Community Centre.

Over the years, the event has expanded as it gives gamers, cosplayers and fandom lovers from the region a place to express themselves and this year they have partnered with Sector 17 Esports to bring a LAN element for 24 hours.

The LAN will welcome all gamers – regardless of platform preference – and will feature almost any title you desire. It is a BYOC event, which means bring your own PC or console (only one device per LAN ticket), screen (no bigger than 32″), peripherals, multiplug and LAN cable. Don’t bring chairs and tables as those will be there for you. Obviously. But bring a blanket maybe. And a pillow. But no mattress. Actually, if you want to know exactly what you can and can’t bring, as well as the suggested games to consider, you can hit up the LAN information page.

Alongside the gaming – and for many a crucial part of any expo – are the vendors and opportunities to socialise and cosplay. Fear not, as this covered too. There is a selection of steampunk items, collectibles and more available.
