Games

There is reportedly a Borderlands pre-sequel in development at 2K Australia. The rumoured title is expected in 2014 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 and takes place between the events of Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2. [More on GamePointsNow]

Warface will be released for the Xbox 360 on 22 April. The game is free-to-play as long as you are an Xbox Live Gold member.

Customizable loadout presets for Battlefield 4 will be available from today as part of the next update. You will be able to swap between tuned-up, customised builds straight from Battlelog. [More on Battlefield Blog]

The recommended PC specs for Watch_Dogs have been revealed, and you will need a fairly capable machine to run the game. [More on Joystiq]

The PC specs for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor have been revealed by the game’s Steam page. The game is due on 7 october for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

1999’s Outcast is getting a remake, with the backing of you. The game has launched a Kickstarter campaign with a target of $600,000.

Mojang’s Scrolls will be heading to tablets. No date was announced, but the PC version can expect some updates. [More on the official website]

Hardware

The first original TV shows for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One are set to debut in June. A number of shows are in production including ‘Every Street United’ (a football reality show), ‘Humans’ (only expected in 2015) and more. [More on Bloomberg]

A new Xbox One system update has been released, but only for players who signed up for the Xbox Update Preview programme. The update fixes issues with Blu-ray playback and the controller, as well as adding a new feature enabling players to manually install downloaded updates instead of having to start a game to do so. An update to the Xbox One today will see direct YouTube sharing added to the console. Today also sees the GoPro Channel launch on Xbox 360. [More on Xbox Wire]

Industry

Xbox Entertainment Studios boss Nancy Tellem has said “everyone’s toying with” original content but it’s “unclear how committed they are to that on PlayStation.” [More on Bloomberg]

Android TV is reportedly in development. The Google device will be released to compete with Amazon, Apple and Roku. [More on The Verge]

The landfill site where the Atari E.T. games are buried has been given the go-ahead to excavate. What exactly the plans are once all the cartridges have been dug up is unknown. [More on CVG]
