Title update 1.05 for GTA Online is now live and “addresses some residual issues where occasionally people’s vehicles or vehicle modifications were disappearing due to a cloud save failure” as well as other fixes. There’s a double XP weekend from 8 November for Call of Duty: Ghosts. The double XP weekend will run from 10am PST (8am UK) on Friday until 10am PST on Monday, 11 November on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC.

Sony has confirmed of its PS4 launch event in New York which promises “exclusive world premieres and announcements”. ‘PS4 All Access: Greatness Awaits special event’ kicks off on on 14 November at 11:00pm local time (8pm Pacific, 4am GMT on 15 November), and will be broadcast live via Spike TV, the PlayStation Blog and Ustream.

A new FIFA 14 patch is now available for PC and is expected later this week for Xbox 360 and PS3. Details of the patch can be found on the EA Forum.

Need for Speed is now an EA Sports franchise – as opposed to being an EA franchise. The reason being that the series could “benefit from fresh eyes, [and]could benefit from some different thinking” – EA Studios VP Patrick Soderlund to Polygon.
