Call of Duty Ghosts has received a new title update. If you’re wondering what it was about, the update brought the usual bug and stability fixes, as well as balancing the MSBS. Full details here.

A new Forza 5 update is available and adds new multiplayer modes, as well as cutting the in-game price of cars by as much as 45%. [More on IGN]

An Xbox One update for Battlefield 4 is now available. The patch focuses on improving stability and fixing crashes.

Coming to the EU PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection from 24 December: DmC Devil May Cry (PS3), Borderlands 2 (PS3), Soul Sacrifice (Vita) and Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend (Vita). On 8 January Don’t Starve arrives for the PS4.

The details of the first bit of DLC for Dead Rising 3 has emerged. ‘Operation Eagle’ is the first of four pieces of DLC planned, and introduces Adam Kane, a spec ops commander on a mission to track down the President of the United States. The DLC will also bring five new unannounced weapons, an additional combo weapon, vehicle, and clothing outfit, as well as new achievements. There is no release date announced, but the expansion will cost $9.99 standalone, or $29.99 as part of the season pass. [via Game Informer]

Where’s the next Rainbow Six game? It’s being remade. Ubisoft says Rainbow 6: Patriots “wasn’t working” so it has “had to be remade”. [More on IGN]

Fireproof Studios have announced that their BAFTA winning gaming The Room is now available for free on iOS devices. The studio have decided to do this to help promote the sequel which arrives on iPhone, iPod Touch or Android devices early next year.


Valve has altered its user video policies in response to the recent YouTube copyright cull. Valve has stipulated that users are “free to monetize your videos via the YouTube partner program and similar programs on other video sharing sites.” [More on Valve’s Website]

NBA 2K14 is the best-selling sports title on the PS4 and Xbox One and the fourth best-selling title overall according to NPD statistics.

According to a report, the creator of the Leisure Suit Larry series, Al Lowe, says he has quit publisher Replay Games. The reason for his departure is due to a sex scandal involving Replay CEO Paul Trowe. [More on CVG]

Oculus VR has raised $75 million in funding to help bring the Rift to the consumer. Andreessen Horowitz led the funding round, and was joined by previous backers Spark Capital, Matrix Partners and Formation|8. [More on CVG]



The PS4 launched in 16 more countries this past Friday (including South Africa). This brings the total number of countries where the console has launched to 48.

A new trailer for Ultra Street Fighter IV has been released and reveals a number of new features, including 3v3 matches and an online training mode. [Screens and details here]

A story trailer for Bound by Flame. The Spiders Studios developed RPG is due in “spring” 2014 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Razer has announced the launch of the Android version of Razer Comms – “the world’s first VoIP solution to allow gamers to make VoIP calls or instant message with their friends on the road from in-game and vice versa.” The app is available for free download and the iOS version is expected in the first quarter of 2014.
