Beta registration for Titanfall are now open. The beta will start on Friday, 14 February 4pm PST (15 February, 12am GMT), for Xbox One and PC and will feature three game modes: Attrition, Hardpoint Domination and Last Titan Standing.

Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty for this year is being developed with its primary focus on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Activision’s Eric Hirshberg told IGN that “in the console-transition year, anyone who developed a cross-generational game last year had to deal with the fact that the technology of the next-gen platforms was still coming into focus and changing quite a bit during the development process…. Now that we have the next-gen hardware out in the marketplace and solid, that is our primary development.”

Rockstar Games is releasing new free content for GTA Online. The ‘Valentine’s Day Massacre Special’ brings a 1920’s flavour to proceedings. Get a new gun, new car, new attire and ten new jobs on 14 February. [More on Rockstar Newswire]

A new Assassin’s Creed IV DLC is now available for PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with PlayStation platforms to follow today. Guild of Rogues – which features three new character classes (The Siren, The Stowaway and The Shaman), new customisation options and moves – is the last of the Season Pass content for the game. It is also available separately for £2.39. Two extra maps will be available to all players next week on 17 February,and will include the new offering of Kingston and Assassin’s Creed 3 favourite Charlestown.

Undead Labs has confirmed that it is working on an expansion for State of Decay called ‘Lifeline’. No release date has been revealed but the Xbox 360 and PC bound expansion will “offer you a new way to play your favorite survival game,” as well as “broaden your horizons by a few kilometers.” [More on Undead Labs’ Website]

Lionhead Studios is “working hard” on a new patch to fix crashes in Fable Anniversary. There is currently no ETA on when the patch can be expected.

Survival game Rust has sold one million copies in around two months. Not bad for a game where you basically hunt animals. No, not the human variety. [More on CVG]

The band Radiohead have released an experimental mobile game called PolyFauna which uses imagery and sounds from their song Bloom. [More on CVG]


An Xbox One update is ready to roll out this week and will introduce the ability to update the console’s dashboard in the background automatically, as well as manage storage space and a battery indicator for controllers. The update will be followed by another in March which will focus on multiplayer and party features, as well as “many more great features”. Details can be found on Xbox Wire.

Microsoft has announced that the headset adapter for the Xbox One will arrive in March alongside a new stereo headset. However, it seems the adapter may be a stereo only option. The Xbox One Stereo Headset will retail for $79.99 (£59.99) and the Stereo Headset Adapter will be available for $24.99 (£19.99). Sony has revealed that almost half the games purchased for the PS Vita are done so via digital download, and that one in three Vita owners also own a PS4.
