There’s been a plethora of speaker-based events announced over the last week. The Gaming Forum returns for a second year, while Cape Town gets the first MWEB Gaming Gathering in February. It is not over just yet, as Gauteng will feature the Vega School Games + Esports Career Day on 23 February.

The event is “aimed at students and others who wish to explore the games industry from a career perspective.” The really cool thing is that entry is free but tickets are limited. To secure your ticket, you will need to do so here.

The event will feature speakers such as Pippa Tshabalala, Samplayze, Ekasi Esports, Sam ‘Tech Girl’ Wright and more. These “industry pioneers and experts” will talk about “how they built their careers in the games industry and where the next big opportunities are.” Full details of the panels and speaker schedule are still to be announced, but keeping an eye on the event website would be a good idea.
