Today’s gamer of the week – or we should say, this week’s gamer of the week – is Sector Coach.  This busy gamer not only works (with a real job…) but runs Sector 17 Gaming – the gaming lounge in Port Elizabeth and clan – and still finds time to play games.

Go ahead.  Introduce yourself.  Don’t be shy.

Hello the name is Charles Greeff better known as Sector Coach. Living in Port Elizabeth and working as a Food and Beverage Manger by Day and Gamer by Night. I am one of the founders of The Sector legion and Leader of the Sector 17 Clan.

What’s you platform of choice?  Why?

My number 1 platform of choice will always be Sony PlayStation but I have a bigger friend’s base on Xbox 360 so I guess I have the best of both worlds.

Can you remember the first time you ‘gamed’?

Yes, my gaming career started in the early 90’s playing Mortal Kombat at the corner cafe on an arcade machine and then moving to TV games.

How long have you been gaming?

I have been gaming for over 25 years.

When do you think you’ll stop gaming?

I don’t think I will stop gaming except if the old age start kicking in and I start forgetting were I put my remote.

Are you a serious gamer?  Or do you enjoy a laugh?

I am a very competitive and serious about gaming but on the end I enjoy a laugh.

Singleplayer or multiplayer?

It depends on the LAG…lol –  after starting to play multiplayer I seem to forget about single player.

Is playing online important to you?

If you want to get recognized by the gaming world, yes I do believe online gaming is important.

Favourite game currently?

Favourite games, Jonah Lomu Rugby and UFC undisputed 3.

Do you have any hobbies outside of gaming?  What?

I do a little bit of Boxing and fly RC helicopters.

You’re stranded on a desert island and a genie grants you five items.  Name them:

A game: Assassin’s Creed
A CD: Midnight Oil
A movie or TV series: Sons of Guns
An organic life form: The Girlfriend
Something edible or drinkable: I will be chilling with Johnny Walker on the beach.

What’s the most embarrassing or worst game you’ve ever bought or received as a gift?

Army Men 3D on PS 1… What was I thinking 3D really now???

If you were a game designer, describe your ultimate game design.

I will not design a game but a character that can jump from one game to the other. It will be the ultimate experience and you will always have the edge over your friends…  a Soldier running in FIFA shooting his way to the goal line….

The zombie apocalypse has happened.  You’re facing down a ravenous zombie horde (which may or may not include members of ZG in bikinis).  What weapon do you grab?

Say hello to my little friend The A280 Blaster Rifle.

In the aforementioned zombie apocalypse you humans are all toast.  Become a turncoat and assist the superior zombies or stay with the soon to be wiped out human resistance?

I am legend.

Thanks for taking the time to answer our silly questions.  What game are you off to play now that you’re done?

Back to the Battlefield 3 it is.
