Activision to drop Sony?

by Victor ‘r0gue’ Vieira

Activision have threatened to stop making Playstation 3 games, as a result of the Playstation 3 pricing. CEO of Activision, Bob Kotick is saying that the entry level PS3 price is too expensive and that he is concerned that they are loosing momentum. He said “It’s expensive to develop for the console, and the Wii and the Xbox are just selling better. Games generate a better return on invested capital on the Xbox than on the Playstation.”

Grab your popcorn and watch this space, its going to be the fight of the year.

So he said that over the next few years, Activision might want to consider if they want to support SONY’S products.

This coming after E3 where Sony unveiled allot to come for both core gamers as well as the casual gamer which included a ‘motion sensor’ which seems to be to be the gaming fashion at the moment.

Could Activision be bluffing?
I wouldn’t want to loose out on the COD or Guitar Hero franchise, can you imagine what those two alone must be worth.

Sony responded recently saying “we enjoy healthy business relationships with and greatly value our publishing partners and are working closely with them to deliver the best entertainment experience.”

…..ermmm what about the prices?

Stop dancing around the topic please, and drop the prices so we can all move on with our lives.
