Madness… We can certainly relate to that. Undead Ed is certainly certifiable. r0gue teeters on the edge of sanity too. I’ve got screws loose where some people shouldn’t have (or need) any. Truth be told, anyone who “works” for us has to be mad. It’s basically a prerequisite. You have to be slightly unhinged if you have to spend all day pretending to be human rather than zombie simply so you can fit in to “the real world”.
Knights of Madness – or KoM for short (we just call it as we see it) – started at the beginning of the year to play Call of Duty Black Ops competitively. Not content with the number of tournaments on offer for their game of choice, they decided – and have already hosted – their first league with hopes to carry on with more for some time to come.
When did the clan start and what was the game of choice?
The Clan stated at the Beginning of 2012 when I – RoScach – and BlaKe broke away from FLSH and decided to start a more competitive clan, he approached me with the idea and the name and I was more than keen.
We entered the team into a Comp immediately and since then things have grown from there.
Has the clan grown since starting? How many current members are there?
The Clan has grown tremendously since we started in the sense of Management and Teamwork, we did not really know what to do and how to manage things but we pulled it through an the struggle brought us closer and made us better and stronger, we started off with 5 people in the clan and we are currently 14 with 2 very strong teams. We are also recruiting full time.
How is the clan structured in terms of management?
Management at the beginning was very tough for me and BlaKe but we are fully capable now, myself and BlaKe manage the Clan itself using the Email system because it’s the safest fastest and most reliable, We also have team Managers for both teams which will be the Captain and the Vice Captain.
Other than Call of Duty, what games are played to simply “unwind”?
A lot of our Members to unwind will play games like BF3 and MW3 as well as Dota 2. Other than games we tend to have a Beer or just watch Television.
How often do you play and practice together as a team?
We practice once a week where it is full organized Tactical Practice for about 2 hours, and we want to play competition as much as we can.
Are you guys actively recruiting for new players? If so, how should a potential member contact you and how do you decide on who is right to join you?
We are recruiting full time, they can visit our Website and then just email one of the Admins regarding Recruitment and then the players will be tested and from there a decision will be made.
What are you hoping to achieve in the future as a clan?
We are hoping to Become a very competitive clan in SA and want to have fun Most of all, and also to improve the Gaming Community in SA. We also want our Gaming League to be a great success, one of the few Softcore Call of Duty Black ops leagues.
Which opposing clan(s) do you most respect (or hate…)?
It’s hard to hate when it comes to gaming because an opposing clan is practice for us, but we definitely look up to VoiD, 5eA, and Renegade Gaming.
In regards to professional – or competitive gaming – what do you as a clan think needs to be done to raise the profile of South African gaming?
Well I think the main issue is people do not realize the opportunity’s there is for gaming in South Africa , as soon as they will be able to see the chances are there things will change for Gaming in SA, and Compete Compete Compete in as many Comps and Leagues as possible.
Are you guys regular attendees to LANs? Which ones, how often and why do you enjoy LANs?
As a new clan we have not had so many chances to attend LANS but we will be attending LANS like Organised Chaos and Rage etc etc.
Right, let’s have a little fun…
If you weren’t a gaming clan you’d be…
sleeping and wondering why we are not a gaming clan!!!
War movie that best describes the clan – Platoon or Tropic Thunder?
Without a doubt Tropic Thunder , same old same old but new!
If you guys had a music soundtrack for going to war, what would it be?
Feed Me – One Click Headshot
Thanks for your time – is there anything you would like to add before you have to go back to the virtual warzone again?
