Ubisoft Acquire Trials HD Devs

Ubisoft have acquired Finland-based developers RedLynx, the makers of the acclaimed Trials HD. Yves Guillemot, chief executive officer at Ubisoft confirms that Ubisoft are “delighted to welcome RedLynx to the Ubisoft family.”

“Their expertise in asynchronous online games and physics-based game mechanics provides us with a great opportunity to bring their powerful brands, most notably Trials, to an even broader range of fast-growing digital platforms,” states Guillemot.

Videogamer cite the Ubisoft CEO stating that RedLynx’s expertise in “asynchronous online games and physics-based game mechanics” will provide Ubisoft with a great opportunity to bring the developers most noted title – Trials – and others to an “even broader range of fast-growing digital platforms.”

Trials HD raked in over two million paid downloads across and the next title in the series – Trials Evolution – is set for release in the coming months.
