Here’s more evidence to show that the Playstation 4 has gained a significant number of previous Xbox 360 owners.
Sony has gathered PSN data which shows a number of PS4 owners have not yet played The Last of Us. If you owned a PS3 previously, it would’ve been a sin not to have played Naughty Dog’s smash-hit, which went on to win a stack of awards, including several GOTY awards.
This is indicative of a shift in the market in PlayStation’s favour. And it’s because of this reasoning that Sony decided to release The Last of Us to the Playstation 4.
“The Last of Us is considered one of the most significant titles of the last console generation, winning countless awards. It would be almost unfair for all our new fans to never play a game like this,” SCEE product manager Josh Walker told MCV.
“We’ve looked at PSN data and can see a huge proportion of PS4 players haven’t experienced The Last of Us yet.
“This is quite indicative of the shift in the market and the many players who have migrated from competitive platforms that we’re glad to welcome to PlayStation.”
If you are one of those that did not experience The Last of Us last year, we would highly recommend the Remastered Edition which releases next month.
The Last of Us Remastered Edition comes with all the of the original game’s DLC too, a graphical overhaul and runs at 60fps at 1080p.
