The upcoming Uncharted is still in good hands despite the renowned director, Amy Hennig, leaving Naughty Dog.

Hennig left the Uncharted studio earlier this year for the Star Wars project at EA. The Last of Us co-directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann have apparently stepped in to lead the PS4 bound Uncharted.

Gamespot are citing an interview with GameInformer where Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells revealed the logical news, saying “it’s not so much a transition period, actually.

“We’ve asked them to lead the project. They are excited as veterans of the Uncharted franchise to take the responsibility and they’re doing great,” he said.

The two are no strangers to Uncharted, both having worked on the first two Uncharted games.

When asked whether new spirit and priorities brought to the game, Wells replied by saying “a little bit.”

“They have to fall in love with the game they’re making, right?”

“They’ll make the changes that they think are right. They’re going to have to adjust what they’ve got and make it what they think is right for this game. There are some changes, obviously, that they will be making,” Wells explained.

Gamespot note that it is rumored that gameplay from the new Uncharted will be on show at E3 next week.
