The Elder Scrolls Online for Consoles Not Ruled Out

ZeniMax Online’s Matt Firor has given console players a glimmer of hope, explaining that the idea of The Elder Scrolls Online for consoles, has not been ruled out.

Firor explained to GamesIndustry that they have not moved forward with a console version because of the uncertainty of when the next generation of consoles could be on their way. ZeniMax would not want to be developing for the current consoles, with the next-gen in the works.

“There are a lot of rumors swirling around the next-gen coming back together with PCs.

“It seems like things are going back to a more standard platform.

“That being said, we haven’t thought about it heavily right now.

“The worst thing you can do is worry about new platforms while in development,” he added.

Firor says ZeniMax Online want to focus on the current project and then “look around for further opportunities.”

“Certainly we’re open to new opportunities,” claims Firor.
