The Details for the Mega8 CS:GO Autumn Cup Finals Weekend

This coming weekend (which starts on Friday 31 March 2017 diary fans) sees the finals of the Mega8 CS:GO Autumn Cup.

After 16 teams started the tournament a few weeks back, eight remain standing and it’s now all to play for over the upcoming weekend with R50,000 up for grabs.

The action kicks off at 18h00 on Friday and continues over the weekend with the semi-finals on Saturday and the grand final on Sunday.

The full schedule of matches and times are as follows (and we would assume one match per slot will be streamed live):

  • Friday:
    • 18:00 – Quarter Finals Match 1 and 2 (Bo3)
    • 21:00 – Quarter Finals Match 3 and 4 (Bo3)
  • Saturday:
    • 12:00 – Loser’s Bracket Round 1 Match 1 and 2 (Bo1)
    • 13:30 – Semi Finals Match 1 and 2 (Bo3)
    • 16:30 – Loser’s Bracket Round 2 Match 1 and 2 (Bo1)
    • 18:00 – Loser’s Bracket Round 3 Match 1 (Bo1)
    • 19:30 – Winner’s Bracket Final (Bo3)
  • Sunday:
    • 12:00 – Loser Bracket Final (Bo3)
    • 15:30 – Grand Final (Bo5)

The action will be streamed via the Mega8 YouTube channel with the following talent there to entertain and inform you:

The tournament sees the following eight (familiar) teams heading into the action with the following seeding:

  1. White Rabbit Gaming (WRG)
  2. Bravado Gaming (bvd)
  3. Damage Control (DC)
  4. Veneration Rejects (VnR)
  5. Energy eSports (eN)
  6. Flipsid3 Tactics (F3)
  7. Aperture Gaming (ApG)
  8. Exdee Gaming (xD)

In Closing

I’m not one for predictions and while your money might appear safe on Bravado Gaming, the match against Aperture Gaming is likely to prove a tough and exciting one. Almost all the teams still standing are capable of their own moments of magic and I would more likely put money on a number of upsets happening before the end of the weekend.

All I can say is tune in, because it should be an entertaining bunch of matches.
