South Africa (and we’d suggest probably Africa as a whole) have their foot back in the door of the international Call of Duty eSports scene with the Call of Duty World League (CWL) sanctioned tournament, the CWL Monster ASTRO Gaming (MAG) Cup which is brought to you by  Monster Energy, ASTRO Gaming, PlayStation, KontrolFreek and African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL).

The tournament kicks off with an online qualifier that sees the top eight teams move on to a high-profile LAN event at rAge in Johannesburg where R120,000 in cash, along with additional gear from ASTRO Gaming, KontrolFreek and Monster Energy will be up for grabs.
