ZX Spectrum…strikes back

I’m sure that I am not the only person here that has the fondest of memories over that little rubberised keyboard and tape deck gaming beast known as the Sinclair ZX Spectrum.  Some may have preferred the Commodore, but for me the little black 48kb machine was gaming nirvana.

Next year (2012 in case you forgot) sees the 30th birthday of the machine and to coincide with that, (game developer) Elite plans to relaunch the console.  Yes, you will be able to relive the times when gameplay really was more important than graphics.  Except you won’t, because the new Spectrum will come with a whole spectrum (…) of upgrades to make it a genuine modern day powerhouse.
