Homefront: The Revolution gets new devs as Deep Silver buys IP from Crytek

Homefront: The Revolution will no longer be developed by Crytek as Deep Silver has now purchased the IP. Polygon report that Deep Silver has give Homefront: The Revolution to Dambuster Studios for development. “We are thrilled to see another great IP joining the Deep Silver universe,” commented Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media, parent company of own Deep Silver.…

Homefront | New DLC inbound

This announcement is likely to be met with some indifference in South Africa (we appear to have already moved on to other games), but it’s newsworthy for those still jamming the multiplayer of Homefront – THQ has announced a new map pack for the game called ‘The Rock’.

The name of the map pack does not refer to a certain wrestler who appeared in Doom, but the prison known as Alcatraz.  And would you believe that’s the name of one of the maps?  Clever hey?

Homefront | X360 patched and DLC announced

If you decided to pop your Xbox 360 version of Homefront in your console yesterday, you would’ve received a new update and the ‘Ability’ Pack.

To further sweeten the Homefront news, the first DLC for the game will be released on June 7.  Entitled Fire Sale, the add-on will include two new maps that “will carry you further into the heart of a war torn and twisted America.” No price announced yet, but it will launch on the Xbox 360 first.
