Andriasang are reporting on an interview in Japanese gaming magazine – Famitsu with game director, Motomu Toriyama who confirmed that the Japanese version of Final Fantasy XIII-2 is finished. Final Fantasy XIII-2 (or Final Fantasy 13-2 if you prefer) will be arriving in Europe on February the 3rd and in North America a few days earlier on January the 31st. 2012 of course.
The game launches in Japan on 15th December.

Comic-Con 2011 is on this coming weekend, and Square Enix plans to show off some of their upcoming AAA titles – Dead Island, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Wakfu. Apparently (and somewhat surprisingly) the new Tomb Raider and Hitman will not be at the show.
In related news, Final Fantasy XIII-2 has a release window of January 2012.
