The Summer Leg of the online league in the country recently got underway, with contestants competing for PlayStation4 hampers and cash prizes.

Do Gaming’s Summer racing league will run Gran Turismo 6 on PlayStation 3 from 3rd February until April 2014 and the Winter league will kick off again in May 2014.

Registrations for the Winter Leg are still open here.

“Being involved with South Africa’s biggest online gaming league after last year’s success, especially when the racing league focuses specifically around our latest Gran Turismo title release, was an easy sponsorship decision for Ster Kinekor to make,” said Bernice Montague, Gaming Marketing Manager for Ster Kinekor Entertainment.

“In exchange for great branding opportunities across the Do Gaming League site, we will be offering the league winners a series of awesome PlayStation 4 branded hardware, merchandise and cash prizes. Do Gaming will also be covering all our global franchise content and game updates, specifically on our PSPlus platform, so be sure to keep checking in for the latest on PlayStation announcements, exclusive assets and game previews, patches and DLC (downloadable content),” concludes Montague.

“Gran Turismo truly provides a diverse racing experience which will test drivers’ skills to the limits,” added Ricus Groenewald, Telkom Gaming Specialist.

This sponsorship of the 2014 Telkom DGL Gran Turismo 6 Championships entails the following:
• 1st Place: PlayStation 4 Bundle (console + 2 controllers + one game) as well as R5 000 cash.
• 2nd Place: PlayStation 4 including one game as well as R2 500 cash.
• 3rd Place: PlayStation 4 as well as R1 500 cash.

Ster-Kinekor games and merchandise will be sponsored to the remaining seven contestants invited to the 2014 Telkom DGL Championships.
