StarCraft 2 | Meet this weekend’s Test Match players in person

The two protagonists from Saturday’s main event at the StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm Invitational will be paying a visit to two of Johannesburg’s top eSports schools over the next week.

Silviu “NightEnD” Lazar from Romania (ranked number two in the world) and Protea Team member Robert ‘PandaTank’ Botha (currently ranked 5th in the world) will visit Roedean School for Girls on Friday and Northcliff High School next Monday.  These school visits will bookend the official Test Match between South Africa and Romania taking place on 16 March.

Details via the MSSA:

Roedean: First stop for the intrepid duo will be Roedean School for Girls on Friday, 15 March 2013 from 15H00 to 17H00. There will be just enough time for Lazar to freshen up in his hotel room before he is whisked off by the MSSA to meet eSports fans at Roedean. It should be noted that this event is open to any learner who can get there. It is the perfect opportunity for all learners interested in eSports to meet Silvui ‘NightEnD’ Lazar and Robert ‘PandaTank’ Botha before their big test match on Saturday, 16 March 2013. All are welcome to attend. Entrance is free!

Northcliff High School:

The second stop will be Northcliff High School.

This event will be done at 9H45 on Monday, 18 March 2013.

It should be noted that Botha attended Northcliff High School during his school days. Northcliff has a proud tradition in eSports and has not only produced two Protea Team members, but has also hosted Gauteng and National Championships.

Northcliff, is thus home-turf for Botha, and I am sure every learner at the school is right behind PandaTank.

The event on Monday morning is only for the learners at Northcliff High School.

Thus the Test Match is not just about valour, sportsmanship, honour and skill, it is also about two great stars who are able to put back just a little to their supporters.
