Microsoft has reduced the price of the Kinect for the Xbox 360 by $40 in the US.
GamesIndustryBiz are citing Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, who announced yesterday that Microsoft dropped the Kinect price to $109 [around R900] in the US.
Unfortunately he did also confirm that “there are no price drop plans” for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Japan. Canada, Latin America and Asia Pacific will also see price cuts on Kinect, followed by Australia and New Zealand.
Microsoft is reportedly gearing up for what it hopes will be a strong holiday season, particularly in the US where Xbox dominates sales.
