This weekend it’s the first of Cape Town’s Electronics & Gaming Expo. These are the articles that will help keep you informed about the goings-on on the weekend of 29 to 31 May.

Mortal Kombat Cup

The second Gauteng qualifier for the Mortal Kombat Cup is this weekend. Unfortunately, entries are closed, but you can catch the action on nAvTV.
Orena
The final eight teams for the South African qualifier for ESWC, hosted by Orena, have been decided.
Energy eSports, Above the Law, Eternal Conflict, Damage Control, Clutch Kingz, Bravado, Aperture and Defekt are all heading to the LAN final at Jukes Club and Esports Lounge on 6 and 7 June.
Teams are playing for a spot to go to Montreal, Canada for the ESWC CS: GO Tournament in July.
Selected matches will be streamed via Orena’s Twitch Channel. Tournament bracket is available here.
Braccianos
Braccianos e-Sports Lounge in Brackenfell, Cape Town will be hosting two Hearthstone Fireside Gathering Championship Qualifiers in the next month or so.
First up is a qualifier on 28 June, which will be followed by one on 5 July. Both events kick off at 2pm and run until 8pm.
Game Arena
A new online tournament site that appeared somewhere in a timeline of ours. There’s not much we can tell you just yet about the site, but they do have a wide variety of titles (across a number of platforms) listed.
For now, go and register on the site to be kept in the loop.
DoGaming League
The 18 teams for the Xbox One DGL Winter Leg are primed to go from 1 June, with all of the top teams entered.
The full line-up of teams can be found here.
The other titles and registered teams can be viewed via the hubs here. CS: Go hit some high numbers, with 127 teams registered.
MSSA
The National team for the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive E-FRAG.net World Championships has been announced.
According to the press release, the squad “consists of nine of the finest Counterstrike players that participate in the official South African tournament scene.” And those players are:
