The Eastern Cape team sits clear of the Western Cape Gamers [WCG] and Gauteng Warriors [GWaR] by just one point. Kwazulu Natal in fourth place sit a further two points by the teams above them.

IeSF | League of Legends

The Continental Qualifier for League of Legends has been dated for 5 October 2013, at which a Protea team will need to beat Egypt to ensure a place at the 2013 IeSF World Championships.

The MSSA will be hosting an on-line championship on 7 September 2013, with the Team Trials happening on 22 September 2013. Any League of Legends players attending the Western Cape Championships (24 & 25 August 2013) can use that as an opportunity to qualify for Trials.

IeSF | AVA

The IeSF has informed the MSSA that “the standard of play in Africa for the title of AVA is not high enough to warrant inclusion of an African team at the 2013 IeSF World championships. In the face of no Continental play-off having to be played, the IeSF has withdrawn the option for Africa to enter a team.”

So that means no Protea team for AVA this year. Better get practicing people.
