It seems like things are kicking off now fully in SA. Looks like 2015 is going to be a busy one.

MGMS Advanced Warfare First Recon Tournament
The 32 teams for the first MWEB GameZone Call of Duty tournament in 2015 have been revealed and it includes the familiar names and a bunch of newer ones. The teams will play for R6,000 in Kalahari vouchers over the next few weeks.

LazyGamer Call of Duty Tournament
The ruleset for LazyGamer’s first Call of Duty tournament has been announced. The PS4 tournament will be played on the weekend of 30 January, and teams have until 29 January to register.
Up for grabs is R2,000 cash, as well as other product prizes.
In what was described as an “epic affair” Bravado’s Emotion took the series 3-1 over their clan mates.
The Killah Clowns have announced a fundraising gaming event in aid of CANSA. For a donation of R20, individual players can join TKC in a 64-player lobby on Sunday 1 February from 4pm.
A reminder that The Killah Clowns will also be hosting a four season Battlefield 4 tournament. Details can be found here.
A reminder that registrations are open for the upcoming summer leg of DGL. Registrations will remain open until 24 January 2015, so get your team signed up.
Games On Gaming Lounge
Games On Gaming Lounge is recruiting for a Dota 2 team. Succesful team members will be allowed to play and practice at the venue during the DGL season.
The venue hosted a FIFA 15 tournament this past weekend which saw 32 players battle for prizes sponsored by the venue, Peninsula Beverage Company (Play Energy Drink) and NAG. The winner on the day was Mubeen Gaffoor, and the full tournament bracket can be found here.
The chaps from TTSA had a busy end to last year and early start to 2015, with the finals to their Virtual Super Drift event ending a full year of competitive drifting. The year has kicked off with voting on their livery competition.
The finals of saw stiff competition between the drifters but once the smoke had cleared, FaultyJoker had grabbed the win with BEEMERSTEIN in second. The full round-up of the finals can be found here.
The three finalists for the ‘Dropper Livery’ competition have been revealed, with the winner (by votes) walking away with “R1000 cash and a shotgun ride in a monstrous Nissan R33.” You can go and help them decide the winner by voting here.
FIFA 15 2v2 Tournament
Xbox 360 Sale
Xbox South Africa has revealed ‘GearFest’ which has “some great deals on our best Xbox 360 games and up to 20% off Xbox 360 accessories.” Deals are available at all participating retailers, with more information available “in-store”.
Xbox SA’s PR go-to man, Graeme Selvan, will be leaving the company at the end of January to take up a post at Megarom – presumably the PR position that Devon Stanton will be vacating in February.
We wish both Graeme and Devon the very best in their new jobs.
