T-Fest

T-Fest_Oct 2014_01Saturday was edition three of the T-Fest series of events which is all about gaming while socialising. The event was a Sci-Fi/Horror-themed one and featured games such as Alien: Isolation, The Evil Within, Destiny and Halo 4 (which was a celebration of the upcoming Halo: Master Chief Collection).

While Halo 4 was the main tournament focus, attendees could also participate in a Kinect Star Wars competition (cue laughter), as well as a DriveClub fastest lap tournament. The winners of each were Tasneem and Domenic respectively who scored themselves vouchers from our sponsors Evopoints, Krafts by Witch Knight, Rebel Monkey and G.L.O.W. Merchandise.

We also handed out a prize for the best dressed attendee, which went to Jaco for attending as the Grim Reaper, while Lars and Leratu each won some vouchers for their colouring in efforts. We were again blown away by the support by attendees, and as a thank you, we did a random draw which spat out Brandon’s name and earned him a tattoo voucher from Arcane.

The Halo 4 tournament saw 20 players attempt to dethrone the reign of JC and Pupsky. Sadly – for the other players – it was not to be. The two players avoided each other right until the final which also featured Keegan and Monique battling over three maps for total supremacy. It came down to only three kills in the end, but JC held Pupsky at bay overall t take 98 kills to 95 and grab first spot. Keegan took third, while Monique claimed fourth place. All the players walked off with prizes consisting of cash and products from the various sponsors.

As always, a massive thanks to the attendees, sponsors and the awesome humans who make this happen. You all know you you are. For photos from the event, head here.

The final T-Fest event of the year will be the ‘Shooter’ the on 29 November, and as always, entry is free.
