Master Series

MWEB GameZone has detailed what will be their last dance with Call of Duty Ghosts. The Masters Series has seen a number of online tournaments and two LAN events in the ‘Ghosts Season’ and MWEB will be ending it all with a bang.

CHAMPS_622x279 - CopyThe Call of Duty: Ghosts Masters Series Grand Final will be made up of three parts, two of which will be online, with the top four at the end of it all featuring in a spectacle LAN event. The LAN was originally dated for 11 October, until rAge decided to usurp the weekend for the expo in Johannesburg, prompting MWEB GameZone to push the Championship LAN a week later to the 18th of October.

Tournament Format:

Group Stage (6th September – 14th September): 32 unseeded teams in eight groups. Top finisher in each group will proceed to the next stage.
Double Elimination Stage (15th September 26th September): Eight teams from groups along with eight invited teams (teams based on their performance over the last eight or so months) will battle until only four remain.
Cape Town LAN: Details will follow, but keep 18 October open, as a total of R40,000 in prizes will be up for grabs, so it should be an action-packed event.
