Gamersxtreme are looking to kick off a Dota 2 online tournament to compliment their monthly LAN events. When is still to be announced, but keeping your eye on their Facebook page may keep you in the loop.

Gaming World SA

GWZA hosted their ‘ZA CLasH OnLiNE’ (we just report it as we see it) Cal of Duty Ghosts tournament this past weekend.

16 teams competed in the single elimination event which saw F34R Adept take the honours 3-0 in the final against Team Nameless.

Rumours are circulating that GWZA will be hosting a LAN event again in June. We’ll keep you updated when we get the skinny.

League for Gamers

The name pretty much says it all right. It’s a league. For gamers. In South Africa. We had to clear the last bit up a little.

League for Gamers has launched in South Africa with an online Black Ops 2 tournament for Xbox 360 featuring 18 teams and they appear to have Incredible Connection backing them.

We’re pretty sure they have plenty more planned in the future, so keep tabs on them on Twitter. For the tournament bracket, head here.

Ozone Tournaments ZA

Ozone – not to be confused with the energy drink… – has announced a Call of Duty Ghosts tournament for the PS4.

Registration opens on 8 May and runs until 12 May, with the tournament kicking off on 13 May. To register, you need to send an email to with your team name, contact details and PSN ID. Entries will be restricted to 16 teams and prizes are still to be announced.

World Champ Drift Series

Round 4 of the WCDS competition hosted by TTSA drifted into action on Tuesday. The 16 player single elimination was taken by DVN Reddo with Round 3’s winner CA POWAZZ taking second place. You can view the full bracket here.

Round 5 in the series is scheduled for 3 June.

Good Game Cafe

Good Game Cafe in Gauteng has a FIFA 14 tournament happening this coming Saturday. Details can be found here.

The gaming venue has also got a Battlefield 4 tournament scheduled for 17 May and have revealed plans to start a StarCraft II league. Players interested in playing in the StarCraft II league should contact the venue via Facebook or email them at for more info.

BitMap eSports

Online tournament organisers BitMap eSports hosted a Dota 2 tournament this past weekend. The winning team was Rain with Vires Acquirit Eundo placing second.


Do Gaming League

Registrations for the Winter leg of the Do Gaming League close this coming weekend. If you’re not in it, you can’t win it. Head here to get registered.
