From today (31 May) at 2pm, you can catch a couple of local FIFA players strutting their stuff against the best in the world in the FIFA eWorld Cup Global Series Playoffs in Amsterdam. No, you don’t have to go to Holland to watch. You can tune in to YouTube or Twitch.

Upcoming Events

ACGL have online tournaments happening over the course of this weekend and into next week, including Fortnite, Call of Duty, Rocket League and more. All the necessary details and registration pages are available here.

A pretty busy weekend this one, so get yourself ready for the following:

  • Xbox Playdates ZA June play dates were still to be confirmed at the time of writing, but join them every Wednesday from 8pm and selected Fridays from 9pm. You can get more information here about the regular gaming play dates for Xbox One players.
  • KLF Computing are hosting a LAN starts from 6pm on Friday (1 June). R200 gets you a seat with two beers and a boerewors roll, with proceeds from the LAN being donated to the Kloof Rest Home charity. The LAN is at Augusta Country Estate in Hillcrest with additional information available here.
  • MSSA are hosting the National Esports Team trials according to their schedule. It is scheduled for Saturday in Vereeniging. The best place for additional information is on the MSSA Facebook page.
  • Nexus has a Hearthstone Tavern Hero Qualifier on Saaturday (2 June). Entrance is free with the event starting at 10am at the venue in Ferndale. Additional details can be found on the event page.
