Upcoming Events
ACGL have online tournaments happening over the course of this weekend and into next week, including Fortnite, Call of Duty, Rocket League and more. All the necessary details and registration pages are available here. This weekend also sees the four city Call of Duty LAN tournament on 26 May.
A pretty busy weekend this one, so get yourself ready for the following:
- Xbox Playdates ZA have the following May play dates on the agenda. Join them every Wednesday from 8pm and selected Fridays from 9pm. You can get more information here about the regular gaming play dates for Xbox One players.
- 25th – F1 2017 (Monaco)
- Mettlestate is hosting the ROG Valkyrie League for CS:GO currently. You can catch the final stage on Wednesday from 7pm. Tune in to the action here.
- Africa Day FIFA Tournament is being hosted in Harare, Zimbabwe from 12pm on Friday. Full details can be found here.
- RAD LAN starts at 4pm on Friday and runs until 10am on Saturday. The LAN in Welkom costs between R80 to R100 per person. Additional information can be found here.
- ACGL and their partners are hosting Call of Duty: WWII PS4 LAN tournaments in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban and Gauteng on Saturday 26 May from 9am. Cash prizes are up for grabs. Full details are available here.
- ComicEx is a relatively new addition to the local geek event scene and hits Durban this weekend. From 9am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday, the event will be hosted at Cornubia Mall. Tickets are R100 for a day pass and R150 for a weekend pass. Head to their Facebook page for more.
- MSSA has the Mpumalanga Championships scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. The tournament will be hosted at HTS Witbank. The best place for additional information is on the MSSA Facebook page.
- JHB BeatDown is at The Nexus in Gauteng this Saturday for virtual beatdowns. The action starts at 10am and runs until 10pm with a R30 entry fee. A variety of titles will be featured but the main tournament will be Street Fighter V. Head to the event page for more.
- Zimbabwe has a busy weekend on the cards with Saturday featuring a Mortal Kombat XL tournament. There are cash prizes up for grabs at the event in Harare. Additional information is available here.
- Goal of Duty is a FIFA 8 tournament this Saturday in Gauteng. The action starts at 12pm at the Premior Gaming Lounge and has R4,000 up for grabs. R200 gets you competing in the tournament.
