It appears as if the country has taken a holiday while E3 is on, as there isn’t all that much happening in the local gaming community and local eSports scene over the last week.

Upcoming Events

There’s a few things on this weekend (and even before) that you may be interested in:

  • Thursday evening (18 June from 6:30pm), Jukes Club and Esports Lounge hosts a Hearthstone Fireside Gathering.
  • Games On Gaming Lounge in Rondebosch, Cape Town is hosting Friday Night Fights – a fighting tournament – on Friday from 6:30pm. R50 is the entry fee with goodies up for grabs, and both Mortal Kombat X and Injustice Gods Among Us on offer. Details here.
  • The second Hearthstone related event of the week sees eAe Gaming and Tuks Mindsport host an online tournament on Saturday from 5pm. Details are available here.

A couple of events that are a little further in the future, but worth marking in your diary is LanX and Geekfest. Both are on the same weekend (4 July), but both offer something a little different.
