The time has arrived as MWEB GameZone rolls out their Masters Series once again. The 2016 season will be the first to feature Black Ops 3 on the PlayStation 4, and as with 2015’s iteration there will be additional titles over a sequence of qualifiers leading into a LAN final in October.

The registrations for the first qualifier of the Call of Duty series are now open, and you can expect it to be another action-packed tournament with plenty of new teams recently emerging in the local scene.

The entry for the double elimination tournament is free, and up for grabs is R10,000 split between the top three teams, with the top two teams getting automatic seeding into the LAN grand final later this year where they will again play for additional prizes.

The tournament will kick off with the first round of matches on 20 April 2016 and will run until 15 May 2016, but if you’re keen to participate, you need to get your team signed up by 19 April 2016.

The top three teams will bag the following cash prize in this qualifier:

  • 1st Prize – R5,000
  • 2nd Prize – R3,000
  • 3rd Prize – R2,000 (Raru Vouchers)
