It was previously reported all over the web that Kinect required a large room to work. In case you missed it read about it here just to give one article regarding it, but there were many.
However, Rare’s senior software engineer Nick Burton is confident that it will work in smaller spaces. He told Eurogamer.net. that the issue has been blown out of proportion. Burton explained that the camera configures itself at set up and “obviously, if you’ve only got that much space [makes a small space between his hands] between your TV there’s just not enough space for you to physically fit in the frame of the camera so you need to stand back a little bit.”
Send us over a Kinect sample with Kinect Sports Mr. Burton, and we’ll give you the definitive conclusion.
