Have an Android phone? Enjoy a little bit of virtual racing? Want to bag some cash for doing so? Then the MTN Asphalt Cup will quench all of those thirsts.
Up for grabs at the grand final is a whopping R250,000, but in the four “time-limited” tournaments leading up to the event there is R87,500 per week on the line.
To compete for the money, you will need to grab the mobile game via mtnasphaltcup.mobi or dial *464*80#. You must then burn rubber between 17 August and 2 September with the top eight players heading to Comic Con Africa on 14 to 16 September to compete for the quarter of a million Rand up for grabs. This will go down at the Star Trek-themed stand of “the sole telco sponsor of Comic Con Africa”. [Hold on. Isn’t Telkom subsidary VS Gaming at and sponsoring Comic Con? Either way, it’s a rather great opportunity to win some cash for playing games… if you’re good enough of course. Just be aware that there is a R3 per day charge to compete in the tournament and you will need to be an MTN user.
