PS3 Version of Skyrim Could be Broken Around the 40 Hour Mark

According to PSXExtreme, reports are doing the rounds claiming that the PlayStation 3 version of the highly rated - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – could be majorly broken.

Whats more is that we could only find this out around the 40-hour mark when the save file reportedly gets too large, and so the console’s cache gets too big resulting  in major lag and texture drop-off with entire pieces of the environment disappearing from view. PSXExtreme points out disturbing comments at Amazon.com and a lengthy post explaining how to bypass the problem.

Bethesda have not confirmed nor commented on the issue, and the Playstation 3 version of the game is currently sitting on 95/100 on Metacritic which could give us a glimmer of hope.

We have only began playing the Playstation 3 version of Skyrim earlier this week and are only around the 20 hour mark (if that).
