MORTAL KOMBAT 11 FINAL KOMBAT! R30 000 AND MORE ON THE LINE IN SEASON ONE FINALE

A passionate community of fighters returns to crown the best warrior in Sub-Saharan Africa

South Africa, 15 July 2019 – The Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition has seen players competing in global events throughout Earthrealm and now is your chance to be part of all the brutal action! The South African grand final is taking place this month at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! in Menlyn and you can be part of the battle for supremacy where R30 000 and a trip to Ireland to compete on a European stage is up for grabs.

Mortal Kombat 11 kombatants have one final opportunity to battle for the massive season one prizes up for grabs. On 27 July 2019, R30 000 cash, a trip to Celtic Throwdown in Dublin, Ireland, and a whole lot more will be on the line. Tickets to compete are available but limited and selling fast, so kompetitors should make sure they book their spot before it is too late.

Players who did not qualify via the online route can secure a spot to compete at R100 per player. Along with battling for the cash and other prizes, each entrant will secure themselves a goodie bag valued at over R500, which includes:

  • A six-pack of Fokof Lager vs Mortal Kombat 11 gamer cans,
  • a Mortal Kombat 11 t-shirt,
  • a famous Fire & Ice! milkshake,
  • 30% discount on accommodation (incl. breakfast) at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Menlyn.

Spectators are welcome for free! If you are keen to come along and support a kompetitor or watch some of Africa’s best Mortal Kombat fighters. You may even get a chance to test your might against some of the players or just show your friend who is better.

The top four players from the Last Chance Qualifier on the day will face off against the players who qualified top four online:

Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! by Marriott in Pretoria will play host to the day’s action, with the matches starting at 10am. A selection of the day’s crucial matches will also be streamed live via the ACGL YouTube Channel, so even if you can’t be in attendance, you can catch the action from home.

The LAN finale is open to all residents of Sub-Saharan Africa who can attend on the day. Terms and conditions will apply, and ALL players will need to be 18 years or older on the 27th July. Additionally, you will need to ensure that your passport is valid for the trip to Ireland.
