We received a tip off about an upcoming gaming convention happening this year still in Cape Town, which has gone strangely unnoticed by the local gaming community.
The three-day event is claimed to be “more than just an exhibition or convention” and it “will bring together both gamers (and non-gamers) regardless of age, race, gender. From families to casual gamers and hardcore gamers, computer enthusiasts, the young generation and technology conscious families, technophobes that want to learn a thing or two and the techno geeks that want to teach them; everyone will be at PGX Cape Town 2012.”
The event is scheduled to happen over the weekend of 7 to 9 December 2012 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
We have reached out to the event organisers to get more details and information on what they have planned. For now, maybe pencil the dates in your diary until we can get confirmation.
From the Pixelated Gaming Xperience site:
PGX (Pixelated Gaming Xperience) 7 to 9 December 2012.
In recent years, Cape Town has been starved of an Electronic Entertainment or Gaming Expo and we feel that it is time that we end the wait. With other provinces experiencing Gaming Expo’s, we think it’s about time that Cape Town experience some electronic entertainment.
