Orena has announced the GWZA #Season1 – Century Cup which will feature four of South Africa’s best CS: GO teams in a battle for their share of R30,000 cash.
The money will be split between the top two teams, with the winner bagging R20,000 and the second place finisher walking away with R10,000.
The tournament is being sponsored by Gaming World South Africa (GWZA) and the two day event will see the matches streamed live with casting by Kyle “Congo” Wolmarans and Courtney “Honey” Timpson, along with additional guests.
Alongside the CS: GO action will be some console Call of Duty in a show match featuring some of Cape Town’s “top Call of Duty players”.
The four teams playing at the CS: GO invitational LAN which will be at the Orena studio in Century City, Cape Town are:
- Bravado Gaming
- Energy Esports
- Aperture Gaming
- CarboN Esports
The matches kick off at 10am on Saturday 13 February and continues on Sunday 14 February.
This announcement is another in a recent number of announcement that sees South African eSports really hitting its stride.
