Nintendo is currently restructuring its ranks within the organisation in an effort to support Nintendo’s unified global strategy.
Nintendo has today announced some of the major shifts Nintendo is carrying out within the organisation, which sees Satoru Iwata become CEO of Nintendo America. Reggie Fils-Aime will continue in his role as president and COO of Nintendo of America, reporting to Iwata.
Subject to shareholder approval, Nintendo is planning to promote Tatsumi Kimishima, the current chairman and CEO of Nintendo of America and a director of its parent, will become NCL managing director and transfer US to headquarters in Japan. In his new position, he will assume the roles of GM of Corporate Analysis and Administration, and general manager of the General Affairs Division.
Iwata will take over many of Kimishima’s responsibilities including the CEO title.
