Nintendo launches the Nintendo 3Ds XL, the largest Nintendo handheld console yet, in South Africa tomorrow – 28 July.
The 3DS XL will be available at launch in Silver + Black, Red + Black and Blue + Black, and boasts a 90% bigger screen that the current 3DS. The 3DS XL’s surface itself is only 46% bigger than the current 3DS, which Nintendo say was intended for a comfortable fit in your hands.
The 3D upper screen is 90% bigger on the 3DS XL, measuring 4.88 inches. The larger screen aids in creating a more impressive 3D effect.
The Nintendo 3DS XL also features a larger battery capacity and the maximum playing time is now six hours 30 minutes, up from the 5 hours of the 3DS.
