*NOT AN ACTUAL XBOX 720*

There have been rumours and more rumours.  The next-gen console has been named pretty much everything including ‘Loop‘ and ‘Ten’ in the last few weeks, and now a new rumour has been tossed about.

According to French site Xboxygen [via CVG] the announcement of the new Xbox will happen in January next year at CES, but the reveal will not focus on to software or features, but on the hardware and its specs.

The usual “anonymous source close to Microsoft” says MS has two groups working on the console; a hardware focused group called ‘Infinity’ and another in charge of software development called ‘Loop’.

Apparently the machine will contain a hex-core (six-core) CPU with an AMD graphics card and 2GB of DDR3 RAM.
