EA has released new sales discounting pc games; Dragon Age: Origins, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and more on Origin. This news contradicts Origin boss’ previous statements that Origin would not “cheapen intellectual property.”

Origin boss David DeMartini famously claimed last week that EA Origin would not follow Steam’s practice of offering highly-discounted game sales. This caused quite a stir among pc gamers and we were even notified that day of a few cases of EA’s Origin doing just that.
DeMartini said the following about Steam’s discount sales:
“We won’t be doing that,
“Obviously they [Steam] think it’s the right thing to do after a certain amount of time. I just think it cheapens your intellectual property.
