EA will launch a new Battlefield game next year, confirms IGN.
EA Labels president Frank Gibeau confirmed the news in an earnings call announcing that, “EA will be launching a Battlefield game next year.”
“EA is very excited to show you guys more detail on that coming soon,” he said.
Gibeau did not however confirm that it would be Battlefield 4 specifically, and says EA will not announcing an “annualization of Battlefield at this time.”
IGN note that EA did previously advertised a Battlefield 4 beta as a pre-order promotion for Medal of Honor Warfighter, and that the beta will be available in other ways. The publisher also specified that Battlefield 4 would keep with a modern setting.
