Mortal Kombat creator seemingly credits ‘Mortal Kombat 10 leaked poster’

It appears as though a tenth Mortal Kombat is in fact in the works.

The poster below was leaked, and the series co-creator Ed Boon has all but confirmed the authenticity of the image on Twitter, reports CVG.

Boon changed his Twitter avatar to a similar image of the poster that went viral, with a logo similar to that used in the poster saying ‘Who’s Next’.

“I don’t suppose there’s anything I can do to make you think we still MIGHT be announcing Injustice 2 in #five days is there,” he later Tweeted.

Boon has been teasing Mortal Kombat 10 for several weeks now, says CVG. In early May he initiated a mysterious countdown to an unspecified announcement via Twitter.

It is now speculated, based on hinted evidence, that NetherRealms will announce the new game on June 2.
