Be prepared for your inner rock star to die a little more.  Harmonix has announced that from 2 April, weekly Rock Band song updates will stop.  According to the developer: “With several new titles in development and developers needed to usher these new games along, April 2nd will be the last weekly DLC release for Rock Band.”  They did pretty well for themselves though – 275 consecutive weeks with over 4,000 songs released.  That’s still plenty to keep you busy.

A new Far Cry 3 patch is coming soon and will bring Master difficulty and respawn hostile outposts.  No date has been given but the official forum detailed some of the changes.  The Master difficulty will be unlocked after a player finishes the campaign on Adventurer, Survivor or Warrior settings, while the ‘Reset Outposts’ option will let players who’ve completed the main story missions set all outposts back to their original hostile state.

John Romero – the id Software “legend” – may be set to work with Square Enix.  His Facebook status recently said “now let’s get a deal done” after tagging himself at the Square Enix California HQ. [via CVG]

A recent image portraying the supposed second DLC for Black Ops II has been shown to be fake.  So don’t go falling for the image of a DLC called ‘Orientation’ – it isn’t real.  Just enjoy the first one for a bit first.

The PlayStation Meeting site has added the PSP and Vita ‘Evolution’ videos.  Now we are starting to wonder if 20 February’s announcement is going to be specific to the PS4 or the Sony gaming division in general.

The last episode in the first season of Halo 4‘s Spartan Ops is now available for download.  According to the franchise development director for Halo Frank O’Connor last year: “Spartan Ops season 2 is yet to be decided, we’re looking at how the first season does.”

A teaser trailer for BioShock Infinite‘s ‘Lamb of Columbia’ trailer has been released.  The full trailer is out later today.
