It’s Friday. “Thank goodness for that”, we’re sure you’re all saying. We certainly are. Looking at all these breakfast wraps this week has made us ravenous, so we shall indulge a little this weekend. The noisy neighbour is about to discover what we mean when we say: “how’d you like to come over for dinner…” But breakfast and news first…
Right let’s kick off one near and dear to our hearts (and braaaaaaiiiiiiiinnnnsssss), but sadly only for our UK readers. Deep Silver has announced a search for a bride and groom for a zombie-themed wedding. The lucky couple will “become the centerpiece of the UK launch celebrations for the new Dead Island Riptide videogame.” If you are engaged “Dead Island superfans” willing to be zombified for a Dead Island twist on a “traditional beach wedding ceremony” then we suggest you head over here and sign up, because the closing date is… Valentine’s day of this year (14 February for you unromantic, brain-dead sorts…).
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 has been dated for release on 26 March in the US and 28 March in the rest of the world. The game will support Kinect on Xbox 360 and Move on the PS3 and introduces a new game mode, Legends of the Majors, featuring – you guessed it, legends – such as Seve Ballesteros, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. Players will be able to play (for the first time in the series) historical events in all four majors and compete as a lady in the Ladies Professional Golf Association.
Microsoft‘s corporate vice president of Interactive Entertainment Business Phil Harrison has said he joined the firm due to its future of making the Xbox brand “cloud centric” rather than “device centric”.
Keeping with Microsoft sorta things, and heading back to the UK, if you sign up for a free 30-day trial through Now TV‘s special Xbox site, you will get 800MS Points added to your Xbox Live account. To sweeten the deal even further, continue the service after the trial and pay £8.99 for another month’s access… and score another 1600MS Points! 2400MS Points to watch (and hopefully enjoy) Sky’s equivalent to Lovefilm and Netflix.
Gearbox has released a new Aliens: Colonial Marines video which takes us through how the game went from concept to, erm, game.
The Cyberpunk 2077 teaser trailer has been released as promised and appears to hide a hidden message from CD Projekt Red promising to reveal plans of its “other project” on 5 February. Speculation has instantly pointed to The Witcher 3.
That’s it for breakfast – have a great weekend all.
