Microsoft to phase out Microsoft Points [Rumour]

A report is suggesting that Microsoft is planning to phase out their points system for purchases and instead use real currency relevant to the region you are based in.

This change will be in line with Sony’s PlayStation Network and Apple’s App Store and will apply over all of Microsoft’s marketplaces.  Microsoft is currently taking their standard stance of “we do not comment on rumours or speculation.”  So it’s all a rumour for now.
