Xbox 360 Being Used More for Entertainment Than Gaming

It comes as a bit of a surprise that Microsoft note that the Xbox 360 is being used more for entertainment than gaming.

Microsoft has relentlessly upgraded the offerings on Xbox Live to users, but one would think the device that was born to primarily game would always be dominated by just that.

GamesIndustryBiz report that there are no hard statistics on time spent with non-gaming apps, but that Microsoft has stated that the combined time spent viewing TV, listening to music and watching movies overshadowed gaming.

Microsoft say there has been a 30% year-over-year increase in usage on Xbox Live globally.
