MGMS Launches Rocket League Championship [ACGL Post]

MWEB GameZone and ACGL have announced the Rocket League MGMS tournament.

We, alongside MWEB GameZone, are revving our engines in anticipation of the first Rocket League tournament on local servers for the Southern African community.

The launch of the tournament comes off the back of the recent announcement that Rocket League will now support local servers for the South African region.


The Rocket League MGMS Championship will play host to two qualifiers. The first of which is open  for registrations now.

The top two teams from each qualifier will qualify to the Grand Final, which will be played within the first quarter of 2018.


Both of the qualifiers will be played to the double elimination format.

First Qualifier (Registrations Open):

  • Leg 1 – 3 December: Top 16 > Top 3
  • Leg 2 – 10 December: Winners Bracket Final, Losers Bracket Final + Grand Final
  • Prize:
    • 1st – R2500
    • 2nd – R1250

Second Qualifier (Registrations Open 11 December):

  • Leg 1 – 14 January: Top 16 > Top 3
  • Leg 2 – 21 January: Winners Bracket Final, Losers Bracket Final + Grand Final
  • Prize:
    • 1st – R2500
    • 2nd – R1250

Grand Final: 

Date: TBA – Currently drafted for the 28th of January 2018

Prize: TBA – To the value of over R3000


In order to register of the first MGMS qualifier you must have a valid team on the ACGL website. The team must consist of a minimum of 3 players and play on PlayStation 4 or PC.
